Spreading Joy, Kindness, and Community Spirit Across Edmonton Since 2017
Santa YEG started with a simple belief: that people in Edmonton deserves to feel joy, connection, and kindness during the holidays. What began as a simple movement on Twitter has grown into a community-powered movement supporting families who need it most.
You can support Santa YEG in two meaningful ways: by donating to the Grant A Wish Program, which helps local families during the holiday season, or by choosing to spread compassion through small acts of kindness in your everyday life. Whether it’s contributing financially or sharing simple moments of generosity, every action helps bring more joy and connection to our community.
We accept anonymous nominations for families in need throughout the month of December.
To nominate a family to receive a gift card on Delivering Compassion Day. To make your nomination, email santayeg@outlook.com with their name and contact information and why you would like to nominate them. We are accepting nominations for 2025 until December 15, 2025.

There are many ways to deliver joy and compassion in your community this holiday season
This season, Santa YEG is inviting our community to join him in creating real, meaningful magic for Edmonton families. There are two simple ways to make a difference — and both matter more than you know.
1. Support the Grant A Wish Program
Every year, Santa YEG works with local families who could use a little extra warmth during the holidays. Through the Grant A Wish Program, we provide gifts and moments of joy that might not happen otherwise.
Your donation — big or small — directly supports families right here in our community.
Together, we can make sure every child and parent feels seen, supported, and celebrated this Christmas. Click here to donate.
2. Spread Compassion in Your Everyday Life
Not every act of kindness requires a credit card. Some of the most powerful gifts cost nothing at all.
Santa YEG encourages everyone across Edmonton to find small, meaningful ways to share compassion throughout December and beyond:
- Hold the door open
- Check in on a neighbour
- Buy a coffee for the person behind you
- Leave a kind note on someone’s desk
- Compliment a stranger
- Share warmth, patience, and joy wherever you go
These simple moments create ripples of goodness that reach far beyond the holidays.
